First Published:

Hamilton police are warning residents in an east end neighbouhood to be on the lookout after several reports were made about a suspicious man in the area.

Police say a man in his late 20s was seen in the yards of residences in the area of Greenhill Ave. and Mount Albion Rd. between the hours of 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.

He is described as being white, roughly five-foot-ten, with a thin build.

On Saturday, police said officers would be conducting “increased proactive patrols” in the area during the evening hours.

Police have offered the following tips to help keep residents safe:

  • Lock all exterior doors including the door between the garage and the house
  • Close overhead garage doors and remove the garage door opener from vehicles parked in driveways
  • Ensure all windows are shut and locked
  • Turn on exterior lights

Anyone with information that could help police with this investigation is asked to contact detectives at 905-546-2929.
