Pair wanted in Stoney Creek murder arrested in Hungary: Hamilton police

Two people wanted for a murder in Stoney Creek in February have been arrested in Hungary, Hamilton police say.

Tyler Pratt was found dead on Feb. 28. Police were called to a shooting in the area of Arvin Ave. near Millen Rd. around 7 p.m.

Pratt, 39, was from British Columbia but was looking to move to the GTA.

A 26-year-old woman was also located at the scene with serious injuries.

Police identified Oliver Karafa and Yun (Lucy) Lu Li as the people responsible.

Police say the pair, who are from Toronto, fled to eastern Europe within 24 hours of the incident.

The pair has been arrested in Budapest, Hungary and are currently being held in custody there.

They say the process to extradite them to Canada is underway.
