Hamilton police say a man believed to be in his 50s has been killed in the city’s latest homicide.
Officers were called to a building in the area of Barton St. E and Barnesdale Ave., around 7 p.m. Sunday.
An unconscious man was found in the second-floor hallway of 737 Barton St. E.
Police say there were signs of trauma on his body and he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police there was an argument inside the building earlier that night. The man was discovered by tenants of the building.
Hamilton Police are investigating a homicide near Barton and Lottridge in #HamOnt.
Police were called to a disturbance at a residence. A male in his 50s was transported to hospital and pronounced deceased.

Detectives were seen going in and out of the building Monday morning. A parking lot across the street has also been taped off.
Police say no arrests have been made and they don’t have information on a possible suspect or suspects.
The identity of the victim has not yet been confirmed.
This is the city’s eighth homicide of the year.
