Ontario’s education minister is expected to announce new safety measures for schools in the coming days, as students in southern Ontario face two more weeks of remote learning.
On Thursday, the province’s top doctor announced that students in 27 southern regions will continue to be taught virtually until Jan. 25.
All students are currently learning online as part of a provincial lockdown that began Boxing Day.
Elementary students in southern Ontario were supposed to return to schools next week, along with all students in northern Ontario.
Taz Boga interviewed Education Minister Stephen Lecce about e-learning and what the province is doing to protect students.
