One person found dead at the bottom of Niagara Gorge

One person is dead after a severely damaged vehicle was located near the bottom of the Niagara Gorge. Just before noon police were called to the Niagara River Parkway just north of the Floral Clock in Niagara on the lake after reports of seeing a vehicle in the Gorge. The Niagara parks police high angle river team and firefighters rappelled into the gorge and found a deceased person in a vehicle. The circumstances of this fatality are under investigation and Niagara police say the identity of the deceased has not been determined.
