Women’s health programs at St. Joe’s

With a focus on women’s health, Emily Vukovic learned about someone the surgeries and research happening at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton.

Emily talked to Dt. Melissa Furtado about perinatal anxiety research through Women’s Health Concerns Clinic at West 5th campus. Delany Carvalho was a research patient, and she shared her experience with perinatal anxiety and the help she received to get her through her pregnancy.

Emily also talked with Dr. Meghan O’Leary about minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the Charlton Campus, and Leah Fachin about her experience when she got a hysterectomy.
