HAPPENING NOW:

Vitamin C and blood pressure

Large doses of vitamin C may lower blood pressure, but don’t stock up just yet.

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University have analyzed data from nearly thirty studies.

They found people taking the highest levels of vitamin C had lower blood pressure.

They were taking five times the recommended daily allowance of the vitamin about the equivalent of six cups of orange juice.

Experts say more studies are needed before they officially recommend the vitamin for blood pressure control.
