
Patients die as mental health resources strained
Updated Medical experts say between one in 3 and one in 5 people will develop a mental health issue.
Yet of the millions of dollars directed to medical research each year, only 4 percent is dedicated to mental health; an even smaller portion on researching children’s mental health. And sadly, as Maria Hayes found, services in this field are also stretched to the limit.
