HPV vaccine and frequency

Since the HPV vaccine hit the market cases have gone down in young women, including those who never got the shots.

Researchers at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital studied sexually active teen girls before and after the HPV vaccine was approved.

They found cases went down nearly 60% after the teens started getting vaccinated.

The decrease was most significant among those who did receive the shots; but cases also went down in those who were not vaccinated.

Experts call this effect “herd immunity.”
