Niagara police have made an arrest in the death of a woman in St. Catharines on Saturday.

Tineisha Chatwin was found dead at a home in the area of Church St. and Queenston Rd.

In an update released on Tuesday, police confirm the 22-year-old died from a gunshot wound.

Detectives have arrested 21-year-old Elvis Berisha of St. Catharines. He’s facing a charge of first-degree murder.

Chatwin’s family tells CHCH News Berisha was dating the victim.
