A man has been arrested in connection to an early morning shooting investigation. Hamilton Police say no victims have come forward, but shots rang out at three o’clock this morning in the city’s east end. Police say the shooting happened near the Knights of Columbus Hall on Queenston road, near Parkdale. Volunteers and employees at the hall say there was a stag and doe last night, that saw about 120 guests. The hall was locked up, and everyone had gone home by the time the shots rang out at 3 o’clock this morning.

One man says he heard six gun shots at around 3 o’clock this morning but when he looked out his window, there was no commotion. Its unclear whether anyone was hurt, police say no victims have come forward but have arrested a 31 year old man in connection to the shooting.

There is a church and a school nearby, the backyards of some homes boarder the property.

This would be Hamilton’s 18th shooting of the year, well on our way to surpassing last years total of 25.

Hamilton Police did not provide any updates today. The name of the man arrested, what he was charged with, if a weapon was seized and a motive, are all details that are still unknown.
