Man arrested in Calgary after a Hamilton robbery with firearm investigation

A man arrested in Calgary was brought before the Hamilton court on Tuesday in connection to a robbery with a firearm at the 387 Barton St. E Hasty Market.

Police say John MacLeod was arrested last Friday and returned to Hamilton to receive his charges.

The 33-year-old man was charged with pointing a firearm, robbery with a firearm, and disguise with intent.

Reports say on Oct. 19th around 9:30 p.m., the suspect demanded money from the Hasty Market clerk while waving a gun around.

He then ran from the store with an unknown amount of money.
