Long term care deaths rising

The new coronavirus is continuing to have a big impact on our daily lives, with the Premier saying today that Ontario is “staring down the barrel of another lockdown.”

In the last 24 hours, the province has reported 32 more COVID-19 deaths. 26 of them are people who were living in long term care.

In hopes of curbing the spread, the province has ordered that workers at homes in some of the hardest-hit areas including Hamilton, Halton and Niagara will now be required to get tested weekly.
