Ice Wine Weather

We may not like the chilly weather but there is an industry that depends on it.

The colder weather means grape growers and wineries are able to get into the vineyard and pick grapes for icewine.

Temperatures were ideal earlier this month to make for one of the earliest harvests in the history of the industry.

For some growers in niagara, it was their earliest yet.

Debbie Inglis, director of the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture institute at Brock University joined us to talk about the effect.
