Hamiltonians may need to return to drive-in testing facility to get COVID-19 results

First Published:

Issues with reporting COVID-19 test results in Hamilton appear to be ongoing.

Hamilton’s Medical Officer of Health says most people have been able to get their test results within two days via the online portal.

But there are some people who’ve been left waiting much longer.

The city is offering people an interim solution.

People who were originally tested at the drive-in facility at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena can go back there to get their results.

“You can return to the drive-through testing site and a nurse will be there at the main entrance to retrieve results online through a different portal that they have access to and they can print them out and give them to that individual,” said Dr. Elizabeth Richardson.

This service is available Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

This is not available for those who have been tested at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton or Hamilton Health Sciences.

Phil Perkins has the details.
