Hamilton police have charged a fourth person in connection with the murder of 38-year-old Danielle Strauss early last month.

The arrest of a 42-year-old woman comes two days after officers charged a 40-year-old woman Tuesday. Both women have been charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

Police responded to reports of a dead woman found in her apartment at 195 Ferguson Ave. North around 11 a.m. on Nov. 10.

Investigators believe Strauss died approximately three days earlier.

A 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy were also arrested on Nov. 28 on a Hamilton bus and charged with second-degree murder in connection with this case.

Police say the charge against the 42-year-old woman is related to the 16-year-old boy in custody.

The Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits police from releasing the names of the women as it could lead to the identity of one of the teenagers charged.

The 42-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in a Hamilton court Thursday.

Officers are not releasing the cause of Strauss’ death as it remains evidence.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Det. Kevin Heyink of the homicide unit at 905 546 2288.
