Hamilton police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection to the homicide of Everton Frost last December.

At a news conference held Thursday at 1 p.m., Det. Sgt. Sara Beck announced that Salomon Bashir of Hamilton is facing first degree murder charges and is set to appear in court today.

Police responded to the area of Morris Ave. shortly after 8 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2022 and discovered the victim, 23-year-old Everton Frost, laying in the roadway with gunshot wounds.

Investigators say Everton was pronounced dead at the scene.
