Hamilton City Hall to hold Black History Month event

There will be an event at Hamilton City Hall to commemorate Black History Month at noon on Monday.

The Hamilton Black History Council and several other organizations are scheduled to appear at city hall for the event.

A project called “We are Hamilton – Black History Remembered” will be unveiled.

The project includes banners already set up along James St. North to commemorate the contributions of members of Hamilton’s Black community.

The banners displayed across the city feature 16 Black Hamiltonians with their names, faces and biographies.
