Fire damages townhouses under construction: Brantford police

Brantford police are asking for the public’s help after a fire caused extensive damage to new townhouses still under construction.

Police say they responded to a report of a residential fire on May 15 in the area of Birkett Lane and Erie Ave.

Upon arrival, emergency units observed several new townhome units engulfed in flames.

The units were not yet occupied by residents and no physical injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
