The Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit is searching for a suspect after a young girl was sexually assaulted at a park in Milton.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 when the female victim was playing at Raspberry Park.

Halton police say an older male youth touched the victim in a sexual manner. The suspect and victim are not known to one another.

Police cannot release photos or descriptors of youth under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Anyone with video footage of the area, who witnessed the assault or was at or near the park at that time is asked to contact Det. Const. Erin J. Toth at 905 825 4777 ext. 8972.
