Hamilton police have laid several gun-related charges against a 16-year-old boy from Niagara, after a local home was targeted in a second overnight shooting.
Shortly after 12 a.m. Wednesday, police were called again for a shooting just east of Upper James Street in the area of Atessa Drive and Rymal Road East.
Upon arrival, officers found several shell casings in front of an Atessa Drive home. No one was injured in the shooting.
Police say a vehicle of interest was located a short distance away, the occupant was arrested and a loaded semi-automatic handgun was recovered from the vehicle. Detectives say the gun had been stolen from Toronto.
