A 19-year-old Toronto man drowned off the southern shores of Lake Simcoe after being dragged from the water at Sibbald Point.

The OPP said two men were swimming and went into deeper water. One became distressed and when the friend went to help they both went under water.

They were pulled from the lake and people began CPR, but unfortunately the 19-year-old was pronounced dead.

The other man survived and is in stable condition at the hospital.
