XL recall grows even more
The list of recalled beef continues to grow after an e-coli outbreak.
Over 1 million pounds of beef and more than 1500 products made by XL Foods in Brooks, Alberta have been pulled from the shelves because of contamination from the bacteria e-coli.
XL supplies 40 percent of Canada’s beef products, and the United states obtains 50 percent of their beef products from the company. The States has since closed the border to all their products.
