An all-girls flag football team in the Hamilton league has been crushing the boys teams for the last few years. They’ve won the title the last two years and they’re in the playoffs again this year Their success on the gridiron caught the eye of the National Football League and sparked a visit from the first full-time female coach in NFL history. Tomorrow the team, along with the rest of the league, will meet Arizona Cardinals coach Jennifer Welter the first female coach in NFL history.

Tomorrow’s meet is part of an NFL program designed to reward kids who are embracing flag football as part of their recommended 60 minutes per day of physical activity. All the 250-some players in the flag league will also get a change to meet with four Atlanta Falcons players.

Since this all girls team has been dominating the flag football league, the coach tells me there’s been an influx of girls signing up. Tomorrow the girls have their chance to become three time champions and prove once again that girls have what it takes to be the best.
