Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a woman wanted in connection with an attempted robbery at a business in Simcoe early Thursday morning.
It happened shortly after 6 a.m. at the business on Queensway West between Hunt and Norfolk streets.
Norfolk County OPP say the woman armed with an edged weapon allegedly demanded money from an employee and attempted to steal merchandise.
The attempt failed, and the woman fled the scene on foot. She was last seen heading southbound toward North Main Street.

Police say the Caucasian woman is believed to be in her mid-to-late 20s with a thin build. She was wearing a black jacket, grey sweatpants, black and white shoes, a black face covering, and either a pink toque or a pink hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up.
Residents in the area are asked to check their home surveillance video for any footage that appears related to this incident.
