Hamilton paramedics say a woman believed to be in her 30s is dead following a multi-vehicle crash on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway Wednesday evening.

The parkway was closed in both directions after the crash, which happened just after 7 p.m.

The crash appears to have happened in the westbound lanes of the Linc near Upper James Street.

Hamilton Paramedic Service superintendent David Thompson tells CHCH News the woman was pronounced dead on scene.

Officials say no other patients were taken to hospital as a result of the collision.
