Woman, 22, wanted for aggravated assault after Brantford bar stabbing

A 22-year-old woman is wanted for aggravated assault following a stabbing that injured another woman in Brantford in January.

Brantford police said Thursday in a statement that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Takia Greene.

Officers say the stabbing happened around 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 10, at a bar near Market and Chatham streets.

Investigators say the victim and suspect got into a verbal dispute inside the bar before the assault happened outside.

A woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assault.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Investigators say if observed, to not approach the suspect and to call police.
