Woman dies, man hospitalized after single-vehicle collision in Burlington

Halton police are investigating after a single-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon in Burlington killed one woman and sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers say at around 12:40 p.m. a white minivan crashed in the area of North Service Road, east of Brant Street.

A 69-year-old woman inside the vehicle was transported to an out-of-region trauma hospital where she later died.

Detectives are investigating the cause of the crash due to the significance of the collision and injuries sustained.
