Woman, 24, killed in multi-vehicle crash on Hamilton’s Linc

Hamilton paramedics say a 24-year-old woman is dead following a three-vehicle crash on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway Wednesday evening.

Police say a blue Honda Civic was travelling east on the Linc near Upper James Street just after 7 p.m. when it collided with a Buick.

Officers say the drivers of both vehicles lost control, with the Honda Civic crossing the grass median into the westbound lanes where it was struck by an oncoming tractor-trailer.

Officials say no other patients were taken to hospital as a result of the collision. The driver and passenger of the Buick were not hurt.

The parkway was closed in both directions after the crash, but reopened around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
