Wire walk gets support from Q.P.

The proposed high-wire walk across the Niagara Gorge is getting some support from Queen’s Park.

Niagara Falls MPP Kim Craitor says he’s behind Nik Wallenda’s bid to walk across the Horseshoe Falls.

He’s met with Wallenda and Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati to discuss the project.

The Niagara Parks Commission is doubtful about the idea, and hasn’t yet made the decision on whether or not it will give Wallenda permission to attempt the walk.

Craitor says he won’t interfere with the Commission’s decision, but did suggest it could defer the decision to the Ministry of Tourism.
