Winnipeg woman killed in Toronto

An autopsy done on the body of a young woman found lying in the middle of a toronto street showed she died of a single gun shot wound.

23 year old Leanne Freeman of Winnipeg was discovered on Unwin Street near Leslie Street in the Portlands area just after one Tuesday morning.

Police originally thought she may have been the victim of a hit and run, but now say the incident is being treated as a homicide.
