What to know about the deadly New Year’s Eve Swiss Alpine bar fire

A fire at a New Year’s Eve celebration at a bar in a Swiss Alpine resort has killed about 40 people and injured another 115.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause and exact number of lives lost to the blaze that began around 1:30 Thursday morning.

The deadly fire, which is being reported as one of Switzerland’s worst tragedies, took place at a crowded bar located at a ski and golf resort.
