Welland man, 35, charged in child pornography investigation

Niagara police say a 35-year-old man is facing multiple child pornography charges.

In October 2021, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation launched an investigation into the sexual exploitation of children.

As a result of that investigation, Christopher MacDonald, of Welland, was arrested on Thursday by Niagara police.

He is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count each of accessing child pornography and making child pornography available.

MacDonald has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
