Weekend lane closures set for Niagara-bound Burlington Skyway

Niagara-bound lanes of the Burlington Skyway are expected to partly close from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

One middle lane (lane three of four) on the Skyway Bridge is planned to be closed for the entire duration of this construction.

Despite the closures, drivers heading straight through that area on the QEW will still have two lanes available to drive in.

One lane to the Burlington Skyway will remain accessible through the Eastport Drive collector ramp.

Lane widths will also be reduced in the work zone and “Narrow Lane” signage will be in place.

The Eastport Drive collector ramp to the Skyway bridge will close from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday and again from 8 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Drivers can expect all ramps at the Northshore Boulevard interchange to remain open.

Eastport Drive will also remain fully open as an alternate route to re-enter the QEW Niagara-bound.
