Waterloo woman arrested for impaired driving after a single-vehicle crash

Police have arrested a 19-year-old Waterloo woman for impaired driving after a single-vehicle crash.

Waterloo Regional Police responded to the Westmount Rd. N. area on Aug. 21 around 9:10 p.m..

Police say a black Nissan lost control and struck a utility pole.

The driver sustained minor injuries. She was arrested at the scene for impaired driving.

An 18-year-old Kitchener woman was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Speed and drugs are now bring investigated as factors in the crash.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
