Wanted man connected to Welland shooting believed to be in Hamilton: police

Niagara police are looking for an armed and dangerous man in connection to a shooting at a Welland home early Friday morning.

Officers say they responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the area of Leaside and McCrae Drives at around 2 a.m.

They say when they arrived they found a man suffering from injuries.

Paramedics brought the man to a out-of-region hospital, where they determined his injuries to be non-life threatening.

Detectives are looking for 28-year-old Shaun Krawiec as part of the investigation.

Krawiec is wanted for multiple offences including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent to harm, and offences related to possessing and pointing a firearm.

Officers say the believe Krawiec to be in the Hamilton area, and consider him armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call police immediately and to not approach him.
