A wanted federal offender has been arrested in Niagara Falls following a string of residential break and enters last week.

Niagara police received multiple reports on Jan. 25 of break-ins in the area on the east side of the falls, close to the library.

Police say $10,000 worth of tools were stolen, and a home suffered some damage in one of the instances.

An investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Joseph Camus of Niagara Falls on Jan. 25.

Camus was charged with six counts of break and enter and was held in custody pending a video bail hearing in St. Catharines.
