One dead, another injured after crash involving gravel truck in Burlington

One person is dead and another is injured following a crash involving a gravel truck in Burlington on Thursday morning.

Halton police say a black Lexus SUV and a red Kenworth gravel truck collided around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Guelph Line and Britannia Road.

The passenger of the Lexus sustained critical injuries and was rushed to an out-of-region trauma centre, where they later died.

The driver of the Lexus was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the gravel truck was not injured.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is now investigating.
