Vehicle collision leads to criminal charges in Haldimand

Haldimand County OPP say a driver was charged after a collision on Indian Line.
Police say the driver and passenger of a vehicle were struck around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday. They suffered minor injuries and were assessed at the scene of the collision by paramedics but were not transported to hospital.
Officers say the driver of the other vehicle showed signs of alcohol consumption. He was transported to an OPP detachment for additional testing.
Police say as a result of the investigation, 25-year-old Jerald King of Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while impaired, driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood and failure to comply with undertaking.
Police say King will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date.
