Unionized hospital workers rally outside Hamilton hospital

Unionized hospital workers rallied at Hamilton health sciences ‘ general hospital today calling for provincial dollars for more frontline staff, amid concerns HHS may eliminate jobs.

Hamilton’s largest hospital network, HHS, is facing a $112 million dollar deficit and the Canadian union of public employees, which represents many health workers in our area  is concerned the deficit means job cuts.

The hospital is in the midst of a staffing review.
