The worldwide internet campaign to capture a brutal African warlord now has almost 58 million views on YouTube.
We first told you about the film Kony 2012 on Wednesday. It’s a 30 minute documentary on Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony. And since it’s gone viral, there’s been a ton of online reaction and criticism to the flick – but most of that reaction has been from people in North America.
We haven’t heard from the people of Uganda yet, until today. The movie, produced by the American charity Invisible Children, has sparked a bit of debate there. While some people there think it’s a good thing that the world has taken interest in Joseph Kony, others say the movie over-simplifies the issues.
