U.S. postal service suspension of acceptance of Canada-bound mail continues

If you plan to order something from the United States or are waiting on a package, your wait will be a few weeks longer as both Canada and the U.S. deal with the repercussions of the recent Canada Post strike.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) posted on its website on Dec. 23 that its temporary suspension of mail and packages to its northern neighbour is still ongoing:
“USPS suspension of acceptance of mail and packages bound for Canada remains temporarily unchanged as we monitor Canada Post’s progress as they process the volumes that were staged during the strike. We anticipate reopening acceptance of Canada bound volume within the next two weeks and we appreciate our customers patience as we continue to monitor developments in Canada.”
The USPS added that it is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to update its customers until the situation returns to normal.
