Halton police say two people have been hospitalized with serious, non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Burlington.

Officers say the collision happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Fairview Street and Drury Lane. They add that the vehicle remained on scene.

As a result of the collision, two women were transported to hospital.

The road was closed for the investigation but has since reopened.
