Two people were seriously injured in a late-night shooting in Georgetown on Wednesday.
Around 10:30 p.m., Halton police received a 911 call after witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the Halton Hills area of Tenth Line and River Drive.
Officers found evidence confirming that a shooting had taken place. However, no victims or suspects were at the scene.
A short time later, police were notified that two people were in a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.
Halton police’s Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and are seeking video footage from people or drivers who were in the area between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Oct. 29.
