A 27-year-old man is now facing multiple charges, including second-degree murder, after the body of another man was found in a Port Colborne home Wednesday.
Officers say Brady Neff is accused in the death of 42-year-old Mark Pero, also of Port Colborne.
Niagara detectives continue to investigate what was initially reported as a weapons incident that has now been classified as a homicide.
Police were on the hunt for Neff for the majority of Wednesday, prompting hold-and-secure orders at nearby schools and warnings for residents to stay in their homes.
Around 3 p.m., officers found and arrested Neff near Welland and Killaly streets.
