Two people arrested following break-in at Shoppers Drug Mart in Milton

Halton police say they’ve arrested two men and are looking for one more after a break-in Wednesday morning at a Shoppers Drug Mart in downtown Milton.

The break-in happened just before 3 a.m. in a plaza on Main and Martin streets.

Police say one man was arrested at the scene, and another attempted to flee in a waiting blue Honda CRV. He was arrested a short distance away.

One of the men and one officer were treated for non-life-threatening injuries following the altercation.

Authorities report that the blue Honda CRV was stolen out of Toronto.

As a result of the investigation, Omar Leo-Boussou, 31, of Toronto was charged with the following:

  • Break and Enter
  • Possession of Break-in Instruments
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime — Over $5,000

Tyrone Stewart, 47, of Toronto was charged with the following:

  • Break and Enter
  • Possession of Break-in Instruments
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime — Over $5,000
  • Flight from Police
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order (two counts)

Officers are still working on identifying and locating the third outstanding man.
