Two hospitalized in double shooting near Hess Village

Two people have been taken to hospital after a shooting near Hamilton’s Hess Village Thursday.

Hamilton Police officers were called to Market St. and Hess St. just after midnight for reports of shots fired.

They recovered a firearm at the scene but no victims were found here.

Police say two victims were found a few blocks away, at Jackson St. and Hess St. around 12:30 a.m.

A 17-year-old male from Hamilton had serious injuries and underwent surgery in hospital.

Another man, a 19-year-old from Hamilton, was treated and released.

Police have arrested a 16-year-old male and 17-year-old female have been arrested.

The pair face multiple firearm-related charges.
