Two arrested after police seize firearms, $120K worth of drugs in Hamilton

Hamilton police arrested two people Tuesday after a search warrant at a Hamilton home led to the seizure of firearms and a large amount of drugs.
Officers had executed a search warrant at a home on Tragina Avenue North where they say they found large quantities of illicit drugs and currency.
Investigators then did subsequent searches of two vehicles they say were used in a trafficking operation, which led to them to find more drug evidence.
They say a U-Haul storage locker linked to the investigation yielded nearly $10,000 in cash and two long guns.

Detectives say they seized as part of the searches:
- 760 grams of cocaine valued at $76,000
- 460 grams of Methamphetamine valued at $27,000
- 7 grams of Fentanyl valued at $1,400
- 939 pills of Dilaudid valued $14,000
- 441 pills of Oxycodone valued at $2,200
- Estimated $60,000 to $70,000 in cash that is awaiting to be processed
- A Black Creek 5.56-calibre rifle
- A Vector .22-calibre rifle
- Ammunition and empty magazines

34-year-old Tyler Croft and 22-year-old Destiny Vanderflip, both from Hamilton, are facing multiple charges including possessing drugs for the purposes of trafficking and having proceeds of crime over $5,000.
Croft has also been charged for multiple firearms offences, probation breaches and possession contrary to an order.
