Tulowitzki expected in lineup tonight

The Troy Tulowitzki era is set to begin in Toronto tonight.
After a surprise blockbuster trade overnight Monday, the latest Blue Jays acquisition wasn’t able to be in Toronto in time for last night’s game, but the all-star shortstop is expected to play tonight as the Jays wrap up their two-game series against the Phillies.
Reliever LaTroy Hawkins, a 21-year major league veteran, did make it in time for last night’s game, and pitched a perfect sixth inning.
GM Alex Anthopoulos first talked to the Rockies about Tulowitzki during the winter, but talks didn’t heat up until this month. The trade sends Jose Reyes and a trio of pitching prospects to Colorado.
Tulowitzki has been one of baseball’s best players since his first full season in 2007. He’s hitting .300 with 12 home runs and 53 RBI.
The Jays lost 3-2 last night despite five perfect innings from relievers.
