Toronto Zoo “Gorillas on the Line” campaign wants your old electronics

The Toronto Zoo has kicked off a campaign to save gorillas in the Congo.
As part of the “Gorillas on the Line” initiative, the zoo is hoping to collect 15,000 electronic devices.
Some elements used to make cell phones are mined in the forests in the Congo, which are home to endangered lowland gorillas.
The zoo says recycling old devices will reduce demand to mine these elements.
